I had a good hard day in the yard today. I’ve also been spending a lot of time on building this website - often, working late into the evening. That’s the case tonight, actually. It’s about 1:15AM and I’m currently trying to define “propagate” for the website, when all of a sudden this… this long gentle furry figure slowly emerges from the vast darkness that consumes all, but me, my computer and now this ferociously adorable collie, which is now staring softly and blankly into my eyes.
“Brrrp”. Bam! The furry fluff-bucket hit me with a cool crisp burp! Subtle, but clear, that burp hit me like a supernova. Joy courses through my body, while the pup awaits his reward - a little pat/scratch on the noggin says “a job well done”. I deliver. He slowly jerks his head back toward the vast black abyss and makes his way like a whale returning to the ocean deep. I watch him fade into the darkness.
It has all been worth it.
Thank you.
These upright shrubs with arching branches are 6-15 feet tall. Each of these species has dark green egg-shaped leaves. They stand out in the understory of forests as the first shrubs to leaf out in the spring and the last to lose leaves in the fall. The paired, tubular flowers are white on Amur and Morrow honeysuckle and pink on Tatarian honeysuckle. Berries range from red to orange and are dispersed by birds.
Rapidly forms a dense shrub layer that excludes native understory shrubs, decreases species richness, reduces canopy tree growth, increases ticks and tick-related illnesses. Asian bush honeysuckle is one of the most common invasive shrubs in Indiana, having invaded thousands of acres across the state.

Harvesting is the process of chopping the tree from the root system and then removing all excessive branches, twigs and roots until you have one solid form (that roughly resembles deer antlers).
